Skills in child aware practice with parents who use substances

This webinar aims to support practitioners working with parents who use substances across a variety of settings to overcome common practice challenges associated with child-aware conversations and to deepen these conversations with parents.

This webinar will help practitioners to:

  • Address common practice challenges encountered during child-aware conversations with parents who use substances.
  • Outline strategies to build trust and rapport with parents while also having difficult conversations.
  • Explore a parent’s values, hopes, and goals as a parent, and how these align with their substance use in a non-shaming or non-blaming way.
