The CPD requirements for mental health nurses has changed!

From 23 October, 2017, mental health nurses are eligible to use either the C4N template, or the new C4N EBR App. If you are, however, using the older version of the ACMHN EBR template, you can still submit this.

Before you start your C4N CPD Evidence Based Record you will need to read the NEW ACMHN EBR Guide. This will ensure a comprehensive record is completed prior to you commencing your application for credentialing.

Download the EBR Guide here (Updated 23 Oct 2017)

CPD EBR APP: download the App to your smart phone.

This App has been developed to provide Credentialed nurses and prospective Credentialed nurses with a user friendly CPD portfolio to document professional development relevant to credentialing.

Simply go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search for 'C4N EBR'. Once you have completed your report you will be provided with instructions on how to include your report in your online application.

Visit the C4N Resources & Templates page for further information.

Credentialing Ambassadors

The project will establish a cohort of Credentialing Ambassadors who will become local champions for Credentialing. Each Ambassador will undertake training with the ACMHN for their role and will develop an action plan to promote and support credentialing within their service.

Helping nurses become Credentialed

Nurses will receive support to become Credentialed. They will be able to attend credentialing application forums run by Ambassadors. At these forums, nurses will get hands on guidance to complete their Credentialing application.

Nurses who attend the application forums will not have to pay the Credentialing Application Fee.

Where will the project be delivered?

The HHSs listed below will nominate appropriate mental health nurses to become Credentialing Ambassadors and support them to further promote Credentialing across their services.

  • Metro North Brisbane
  • Sunshine Coast
  • Metro South Brisbane
  • Gold Coast
  • Townsville
  • Central Queensland
  • West Moreton
  • Toowoomba
  • Mackay

When will the project start?

The project commenced in July 2013. People nominated by their HHS to become Credentialing Ambassadors will be trained during August 2013. Credentialing application forums and other project activities will start from September 2013.
