The online course - Non-Directive Pregnancy Counselling is a training course for Credentialed Mental Health Nurses, or a continuing education course for nurses and midwives who are not Credentialed.

The development of this course was originally assisted with funding from the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. It was initially only available as a training course to ACMHN Credentialed Mental Health Nurses. ACMHN Credentialing is a requirement for mental health nurses to be eligible to provide Medicare services.

Tell me more about Credentialing

Due to interest from nurses and midwives working outside mental health, in 2008 the ACMHN opened up the course to other nurses, midwives and nursing students, who are either members or non-members of the ACMHN. While only ACMHN Credentialed Mental Health Nurses who successfully complete the course can register with Medicare Australia, the course is informative and will enhance your practice.

The ACMHN has allocated 3 CPE points to the course. If you complete the course as instructed, you will be provided with a Certificate of Completion.
