ACMHN Perinatal Mental Health online CPD program
This is a 3 module continuing professional development program which is open to Australian College of Mental Health Nurses members (free) and non-member nurses and midwives ($33 including GST).
It has been designed to provide an overview of the main mental health issues surrounding the perinatal period and to introduce the concept of non-directive counselling as it pertains to this important stage of a woman's life.
Credentialed mental health nurses who undertake this program and who are registered with Medicare as having a provider number, will be eligible to provide up to 3 sessions of non-directive pregnancy counselling to clients referred by a GP under MBS Item Number 81010.
|This program is endorsed by the Australian College of Midwives and has been allocated 3 MidPLUS Points for Midwives who complete the program. The ACMHN will provide the ACM with a list of midwives who have successfully completed the program on a monthly basis.|
The program takes a minimum of 3 hours, depending on how many of the links you choose to follow up on (3 CPD points allocated). Once you have completed the assessment quiz at the end of Module 3, you will be eligible for a Certificate of Participation which will be emailed to you within 14 days of completion.
