Do you know a colleague that has accomplished an outstanding role as a mental health nurse? The Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN) extends an invitation to all members for nominations for the 2010 Mental Health Nurse of the Year.

This prestigious award was established in 2008 to publicly recognise the achievements of mental health nurses, encourage professional development amongst mental health nurses, and promote the importance of mental health nursing as a specialty.

The ACMHN 2010 Mental Health Nurse of the Year prize will consist of full registration, including travel and accommodation, to attend the 36th Annual International Conference of the ACMHN in Hobart from 30August-2September 2010, plus an additional prize with a value to be announced.

Nominations must be made by two ACMHN members of a mental health nurse who may or may not be a member of the ACMHN.

A special selection committee will assess all nominees on a range of criteria.

Nominations are now open and must be received at ACMHN no later than Friday 25th June 2010.

DUE DATE EXTENDED: Friday 16th July 2010

The 2010 Mental Health Nurse of the Year will be announced at the Annual ACMHN Oration and Investiture of Members at the 36th Annual International Conference in Hobart.
