Applying for a Mental Health Nurse CredentialTo become a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse, you must apply to the ACMHN. Applications are peer reviewed by other Credentialed Mental Health Nurses. The application process is depicted in this attachment. To commence your application, you should read the Application Guidelines before you start completing the Application Form: If you are join the College when you submit your Credential application, your Credential application will be charged at the members rate. As part of your application, you will also need complete an Evidence Based Record (EBR) for the past three years. An EBR contains details of professional activities you undertake as part of your continuing professional education and continuing practice development as a mental health nurse. • • •

When you submit your application, please make sure all required documents are attached as requested. When your application is received at ACMHN, you will receive notification. Your application will be processed within 6-8 weeks and this will depend on the completeness of your application.
