APPLYING FOR A MENTAL HEALTH NURSE CREDENTIAL

To become a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse™, you must apply to the ACMHN through the Credentialing 4 Nurses (C4N) website. From 1 March 2017, the ACMHN will no longer be accepting Credentialing or Re-credentialing applications in paper-based format .

Applications are processed by the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses and peer reviewed by a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse™.

It is IMPORTANT that you read the following documents specific to mental health nurses:

  • Addendum to the Qualifications Framework
  • Appendix to the Professional Guidelines
  • CPD Evidence Based Record
  • EBR Guide

To download the above documents, please go to the ACMHN Resources & Templates page.

After clicking on the link below for either a new application, or re-credentialing application, your browser will open up in a new window and take you to the C4N website. It is also important that you read the information provided on the C4N website prior to commencing your application as it will ensure you have all the documentation required and ready to upload when you apply online.

When you are ready to commence your application online (via the C4N website), there are clear instructions to help you through the process.  If you are a first time user, you will need to sign up for a new account. Your registration will be unique to you and not linked to the ACMHN member login.
