To be considered, you must have:

  • Full registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • At least 4 years relevant recent experience as an RN in either acute emergency, rural remote, correctional/detention and/or community health
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
  • Computer literacy

The Pinelodge Clinic Consulting Suites Mental Health Nurse Incentive Program (MHNIP) has been set up to provide a range of comprehensive services to patients who are under the care of Private Psychiatrists, but are not able to access further private care and support through private health insurance funding, and do not meet the criteria for treatment under public mental health services.

We are currently seeking applications from dynamic and experienced Credentialed Mental Health Nurses to work in our new MHNIP. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, have a mature attitude with the ability to show compassion and empathy for patients, and a willingness to work within and contribute to the Mission / Values of St John of God Health Care.

The Mental Health Nurse’s role within the MHNIP is to provide and facilitate the provision of coordinated clinical care and treatment for people with severe and persistent mental health disorders. The MHNIP receives referrals from our Specialist Psychiatrists working in the Consulting Suites and our Medical Director will provide Clinical Governance and Supervision. In addition, the MHNIP will also be supported by the wider Pinelodge Clinic Multi-disciplinary Mental Health Team and Organisational Services

Salaries and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the organisations enterprise agreement.
