Board Member Mr Stephen Carroll

Stephen Carroll was elected to the Board of Directors of the ACMHN in 2009. Stephen is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse, psychotherapist and sex therapist in private practice in Orange NSW. He has previously been Vice President and held other positions in the Counsellors and Psychotherapists Association of NSW and was President of the Men's Health and Wellbeing Association. He advises many companies and NGO's in the area of men's health policy development.
Stephen believes that Mental Health Nursing is set to become the leader in mental health primary care due to the all embracing models within which all mental health nurses work and the diverse and extraordinary versatility of skill sets MHNs have in treatment and intervention regimens. He feels that the profession, led by the College, needs strong leadership and support from members to ensure our place as health professionals to become consolidated, validated and appreciated. All members need to play their part. |
